Change is happening. Slowly but surely. No one can argue! What started as grassroots movements is now reaching Capitol Hill. Give it to a raise in awareness, give it that Obama brings something different, the fact is there - the Democratic Convention in Denver will all be about being Lean ‘n Green, and the Wall Street is reporting about it. From energy to waste, but for me most importantly, great care will be put in the food served.

As part of this broad greening effort, Lean ‘N Green meals will be based on healthy nutrition guidelines and will include a percentage of ingredients that are locally and/or organically produced. The Lean N’ Green guidelines provide a simple framework for restaurants, caterers, and others to offer at least one healthy and green option to customers each day during convention week. Staff and volunteers from the greening initiative will be available to provide support in incorporating the green guidelines. 

An emphasize on local products and no deep fried food is clearly illustrating the mindset in which Obama will lead his campaign to become President. It also clearly demonstrate, I think for the first time in decades, a clear identity for the Democrats, which have been deeply searching for one. This is great news for many people. This is great news for everyone.
